About

Hello!

My name is Freddy. I am a passionate and dedicated animator inspired by both the new and the old forms of innovation in the video game animation world.

I knew for a long time creating video games is what I wanted to do but until I found a love for bringing characters to life through animation I wasn’t sure what part of making games gave me the most enjoyment.

I am constantly looking for new techniques to use in my widely varied skill set of software solutions, such as UE5’s new control rig systems or learning Blender and Maya in-depth to make me more flexible. All of which improve my skills technically and artistically.

I was employed by Staffordshire University through the Staffs Uni 1-Up Scheme to work on Disc-Go and Mech Head for 6 weeks.
The 1-Up Scheme is a professional game development workplace that takes the best students from the university and lets them develop the university’s video games with the intention of publishing them to the public.

Studying at Staffordshire University let me explore all areas of game development, I found that I really enjoyed animation especially with the motion capture studio at the university.
Through hard work I was able to graduate with First Class Honours.

I studied at Gloucestershire College for two years, covering core aspects of creating video games and using game engines.
This is where my passion for game development took off, I knew I wanted to do more.
I completed the course with a Double-Distinction Merit.
